Hôtel L'Argonn' Auberge is located beside Argonne Forest, 7 km from the village of Varennes-en-Argonne. Guests can relax in the hot tub and in the sauna. The rooms feature a flat-screen TV. Very easy to find in the centre of a small village. There is plenty of free car parking available. The rooms are very large, clean, comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. The staff are lovely and speak reasonable English. The food in the restaurant is excellent and very good value for money. It is a good base to explore the Ardennes and is very, very popular with hunters.

A lovely Auberge where we stopped for 1 night on our journey north. Restaurant very good and our dog was allowed to accompany us for meals. Spacious clean room nicely designed . Friendly staff although we had to guess what they were saying as our French is not good.

Hôtel MAAS provides accommodation in Montigny-le-Roi. With a garden, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. It may look a bit isolated on the map but it is perfect for an overnight stay whilst traveling through the region. The hotel has easy access and free parking and is in a quiet location. The rooms are very clean and spacious, modern in design and well-equipped (tea making facilities, fridge, TV, internet). Everything you need for a short overnight stay is there. The breakfast was good quality and value for money. Well-insulated rooms - we didn't hear the neighbors or the nearby motorway. We found a nearby restaurant for supper that served wholesome good-quality food. There are multiple charging points for e-cars at the property.

Located in Bezannes, 4.8 km from Léo Lagrange Park, Golden Tulip Reims provides accommodation with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. This has been the best hotel we have stayed in on this holiday. We were planning to go to the best Western in the middle of Reims *La Paix) but once parking had been added on, it was too expensive. The Golden Tulip is one year old so everything is exceptionally clean, fresh and unmarked. The room we got was a suite. It had a sub-divided section and access to an outside deck (so important for smokers). The parking was free. The breakfast excellent. The woman at the front desk very helpful (I was very low on fuel and I needed a close petrol station which in France, on a sunday, can be tricky to find. WE had had a bad night previously so this place was an enormous relief.
